5 Star Reach ("we," "us," "our") provides review request and customer feedback services to local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to 5starreach.com, our review pages on st5r.com and client domains, and our messaging services.
Information we collect
- Client account information. When a business signs up, we collect business name, contact name, email, phone, billing information, and business details needed to register a local texting number.
- Customer contact information provided by our clients. Businesses using our service provide the name and mobile number of their customers so we can send a review invitation on the business's behalf. We process this information as a service provider to the business.
- Feedback submissions. If a customer chooses to share feedback with a business through our review page, we collect the message and deliver it to that business.
- Usage information. Basic technical information such as link taps on review pages and message delivery status, used to operate the service and produce client scorecards.
How we use information
- To send review invitations on behalf of the business a customer visited
- To deliver private feedback to that business and alert them the same day
- To produce monthly scorecard reports for clients
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to comply with law
Text messaging
Review invitations are sent by SMS from a local number registered to the business a customer visited. Message frequency is low, typically a single invitation following a visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further messages from that business. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@5starreach.com or (844) 345-STAR.
Consent to receive text messages, and phone numbers collected for texting, are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use customer contact information provided by one business to market for any other business.
- We do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for marketing.
Service providers
We use vetted service providers for messaging delivery, hosting, email, and payment processing. These providers process information only to perform services for us and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
Healthcare clients
For dental and healthcare practices, we sign Business Associate Agreements, and patient data is handled only in HIPAA-eligible infrastructure under a signed BAA.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service to our clients and to meet legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. Clients may request deletion of their customer contact data by emailing hello@5starreach.com.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. To exercise these rights, or to ask any question about this policy, contact hello@5starreach.com. If you received a text and no longer wish to receive messages, reply STOP.
Children
Our services are for businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
